How to Rebrand like a Pro
We all have those times where you feel either burned out or just uninspired to create new and refreshing content. Some take a break and some just push out material just for the sake of doing it. There comes a time where rebranding is necessary in order to gain a new audience, keep the old ones captivated, or sometimes even both. It is not about whether you take a break or how you brand yourself/your company, it is about how you bounce back to come back better than ever.
Change or Start
When rebranding on social media you must first ask yourself whether you are making a second youtube channel, Instagram account, or website. This is essentially starting something additional and is not as big of a deal because you are still making the same content, just on a different account or platform. For example, your main Instagram account may have your personal posts and the second one can showcase your travel and still have the same audience, just a little more refined. However, if you are completely changing your brand and starting from scratch then that is where it gets more strategic and we are here to help!
Do your Research
This component is essential in your rebrand if you want a successful one. Think about it, you’re rebranding for the better and that means you should be doing research in all areas. This includes what your competitors are doing that is succeeding/failing, what your brand is missing, what the audience needs are, etc. Knowing this will give more insight into what you need to include for your new launch to make it the best it can be.
Strategize and Plan
After you have done your research now it is time to get down to the nitty-gritty and propose what you would like to see for your rebrand. Whether it be designing a new logo, launching new products, channel graphics, new content, etc. Do what you can to make this rebrand EPIC!
Communication
Communication is key if you want to keep the same audience within your social platform. With these changes, you do not want to make them overnight. You should instead make a gradual transition by communicating with your viewers and develop a calendar or some sort of schedule to converge into the new brand.
The Big Launch
The anticipation is finally here to launch your new brand so make it big. Set out a week to push out all the new content you may have. Using every social media outlet you can to get the word out will get the buzz going. Go on Instagram/Snapchat stories, make a Facebook post, have a trailer, send out newsletters, anything you can to show the world what this rebrand is all about. By having repeated messages for your launch week and continuing that into a month will navigate the shift to your new and improved brand.
Now that you have successfully rebranded yourself/your company, embrace the changes and work towards making the business grow each and every day. Good luck!
